This restaurant is located atop Panecillo Hill where you find the iconic statue of the Virgin of Quito that overlooks and protects the city. A selfie with the statue is a must before you enter the establishment. From the balcony, you can see the whole extension of colonial Quito and beyond: the Basilica Church stands out from the rest. Their menu includes all the Ecuadorian delicacies, particularly from the Andes, such as the famous llapingachos (potato pancakes) and fritada (fried pork). It is a favorite place among locals for its service and quality food. NOTE: There is another branch in Itchimbía with equally stunning views!
