12 day program
Day 1: Arrival to Lima
Welcome to Peru! Upon arrival to Lima, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You have the afternoon free to rest and stroll around town.
Day 2 : Lima city tour
Take it easy in the morning and walk around the neighborhood. In the afternoon be ready for your tour in downtown Lima. We will escort you around the city to visit couple of museums, including the Archaeological museum (which houses one of the best collections of artifacts from numerous archaeological sites), Larco Herrera Hoyle Museum, and finally to the Old City of the Kings.
Day 3: Lima / Cusco – city tour
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Our representative will be waiting for you at the Cusco airport with a private vehicle and take you to the hotel. This day will take it easy so you can adapt to the 3,390 m/11,000 ft. In the afternoon you will have a walking city tour with your guide, including Qoricancha Temple, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, and other places of interest.
Day 4: Cusco and the outskirts
Your hotel will serve a magnificent Peruvian buffet, after which your guide will escort you to the outskirts of Cusco for a private guided tour of the ancient archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Quenco and Tambomachay. You will learn about the history and drama of the invading Spanish and indigenous Inca cultures and how they fused into the modern Peruvian society we know today.
Day 5: Sacred Valley
Your guide will arrange your transport into the Sacred Valley, the agriculture heart of the Andes. You will visit Inca sites including Chincheros, famous for its textiles, the greenhouse Moray, the terraced salt ponds of Maras, and Pisac. After lunch, you will arrive at the trailhead where you will spend the afternoon exploring local paths. The comfort of your hotel awaits in Ollantaytambo and your appetite will be sated at the restaurant of your choice.
Day 6: Inca Trail / Aguas Calientes
We take the train early in the morning and wind up at Km 104, the starting point of our trek. Crossing the Urubamba River on footbridge, we check-in with park rangers at the control point and continue our hike to the archaeological site of Chachabamba, with an elevation of 2,150m. From here we ascend a hill for about 2 hours until we reach a beautiful secluded waterfall and in a few more minutes we arrive at the fascinating archaeological site of Wiñaywayna at 2,650 m (8,694 ft). After we explore the ancient ruins, we continue to hike through the semitropical cloud forest until we cross over the mountain through Inti Punku (Sun Gate) to get our first glimpse of Machu Picchu. After a short hike down, we will stay to enjoy the late afternoon before we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes for a comfortable night in our hotel and optional bathing in the local hot springs.
Day 7: Machu Picchu / Cusco
After an early breakfast, you and your guide will board the shuttle which takes you to the main entry of the Machu Picchu National Park ruins for a private, guided tour and the option of additional activities including hikes to Wayna Picchu (limited to 400 per day) or the Inca Bridge. The rest of the day will be free for you to explore the ruins on your own. Pack a lunch or enjoy the wholesome sandwiches at the outdoor café. Return to Cusco by evening for dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 8: Cusco / Puno
We will take you to the bus station for the trip to Puno. We will stop on the way to visit some museums, including the Pucara Racchi and Andahuylillas. You will be arriving to Puno around 5 pm; transfer to your hotel.
Day 9: Titicaca Lake: Uros & Amantany
Today you will explore the Titicaca Lake, the highest navigable lake in the world. You will start with a visit to Uros Island, the man-made floating island, and learn how the locals maintain this unusual piece of land. Then, you will continue to navigate for about 3 hours and reach Amantany Island, where you will stay with a local family. In the afternoon you enjoy dinner and a cultural activity.
Day 10: Titicaca Lake: Takile / Puno
After breakfast, you will depart this amicable island and go to Takile Island, which is famous for its woven handicrafts. You will arrive to Puno in the afternoon and be transferred to your hotel.
Day 11: Puno / Juliaca / Lima
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, you are taken to your hotel in Lima; afternoon at leisure.
Day 12: Departure home
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
Optional extension to Nazca
Day 1: Lima / Nazca
You will travel to Nazca by road, making stops on the way to have lunch and see some interesting sites. The journey lasts an average of 8 hours. Upon arrival, a guide will be waiting for you and take you to the hotel. Take the rest of the day to wander about town and stretch your legs!
Day 2: Flight over Nazca
We will take you to the airport for the flight over the Nazca lines. The flight will last about 30 minutes, depending on whether conditions. Then, we will tour in the old cemetery of Chauchilla, dating back to pre-Incan times.
Day 3: Nazca / Lima
Early in the morning you will take a bus back to Lima. The journey will take about 8 hours. Take the rest of the afternoon to rest or walk around town.

The itinerary allows for flexibility in regards to activities and visits, depending on weather conditions, clients’ interests, and other circumstances. If changes shall take place prior or after your arrival, you will be notified beforehand.
